Role of green technology innovation and renewable energy in carbon neutrality: A sustainable investigation from Turkey

نویسندگان

چکیده

After the Paris Climate Conference (COP21), many countries start progressing towards carbon neutrality targets. In doing so, green technology innovations (GTIs) and clean energy are essential factors that can help to achieve goal. Therefore, this paper examines linkages between innovation renewable dioxide emissions based on STIRPAT model in Turkey during time of 1990–2018. The study used testing like “unit-root” verify variables' integrative properties containing information for structural breaks. Also, bootstrapping ARDL-bound technique is analyze relationship variables. causal innovation, consumption, energy, population, income per capita, tested through a Granger causality test. empirical findings show co-integrated long-term association. Additionally, decline emissions, whereas capita enhance emissions. This helps policymakers design comprehensive policy strengthening environmental sustainability specifically region Turkey. • Examine impact GTIs CO 2 We employed technique. lowering Non-renewable consumption boosts CO2 Population personal also determinantal

From Green IT to Sustainable Innovation

Sustainable innovation is about creating social, environmental, and economic value for all stakeholders involved. In this paper we propose the sustainable innovation lens as an extension of the prevailing discourses on Green IT/IS. The sustainable innovation lens goes beyond the environmental facet of sustainability—which is the main focus of Green IT/IS—and offers a three-fold approach that en...
